Last week we asked "What Store Had This Display?" and we did not realize that the photo was a giveaway since the name of the store was visible to the discerning eye, written on the window.

"Too easy Ronni! The name of the store (Colonial Hardware on LaSalle Road) is on the window! Have a Happy and safe Thanksgiving everyone!" commented Rick Liftig as soon as he viewed the photo.

R.C. Pond said that Colonial Hardware was where Starbuck's is now located, and others recalled that a duckpin bowling alley was once in the basement of that building. "And before that was a duckpin alley, it was a gun shooting range! (truth is stranger than fiction)," commented Rick Liftig.

And the Noah Webster House & West Hartford Historical Society's official answer to the question – which of course you already knew – is: "This display of Stanley Tools was shown in the window of Colonial Hardware located on LaSalle Road."
