Last week's question was: "Do You Recognize this Corner?" and Rick Liftig was quick to jump in with the correct answer. Rick commented: "And most of us will recognize this as the corner of LaSalle and Farmington – location of the present-day 'Music and Arts' store. But more interesting is how nicely the deco facade fits in with the sight lines and allows the streetscape to visually flow. The present facade looks fine, but this is a cut above."
According to the Noah Webster House & West Hartford Historical Society, "Bollerer's Flowers opened on the corner of Farmington Aveune and LaSalle Road in 1932. That space is now occupied by Music & Arts."
