Romantic Comedy, Fashions, A Little Night Music

Five things to help you plan your day on Thursday, July 25, 2013.

Good morning, West Hartford! Today is Thursday, July 25, 2013. I'm liking the forecast for temperatures in the mid-80s and lower humidity!

Today in West Hartford ...

  1. Tap your toes and resist the urge to sing along (if you can) at the West Hartford Summer Arts Festival's annual musical. Guys & Dolls premieres Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at Hall High School, with shows on Friday and Saturday as well.
  2. The history of Beatrice Fox Auerbach, as told through her clothing and accessories, is in an exhibit beginning Thursday at the JCC. Click here for details.
  3. "Last Licks" performs "A Little Night Music" this week at Blue Back Square, from 7-9 p.m. The band's genre is described as classic rock, and they are known for playing "the songs that are uncommonly played, yet very well known and loved."
  4. Thursday's forecast is for cloudy skies and cool temperatures, with highs in the 70s! How long has it been since the daytime temperatures have been that low? Sounds like a great day to take the kids to the playground, or do some yard work.
  5. In case you missed it ... Wednesday's top two stories were the fire in the A.C. Petersen's/Playhouse on Park/Cricket Press building and the West Hartford Town Council's approval of an application for a brand new office building that had been unanimously rejected by the Town Planning and Zoning Commission.
