Calling All Pet Parents

AAA launches new resource for all things pets.

Fifty-one percent of Americans who have pets would take their furry friends with them on vacation if they could, according to a recent AAA/Best Western survey. Of respondents who traveled with their pets over the past 12 months, the top challenge they reported was finding welcoming, appropriately matched pet-friendly accommodations.

With those considerations in mind, AAA is launching PetSpot, a new website dedicated to all things pets, including information on pet safety, pet-friendly travel, pet savings, and other helpful ideas for people who love their pets. For example, here are some tips for traveling with your pet.

To celebrate, AAA is holding free kickoff events at its West Hartford and Enfield offices this Saturday, October 6th—and you and your four-legged friends are invited! The events will feature canine demonstrations, free pet goody bags, pet adoption opportunities, and more.  In West Hartford, we will be joined by a West Hartford Police K-9 unit and West Hartford Animal Control. In Enfield, we’ll be joined by the Enfield Dog Park Action Committee.
