Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Kick Off Celebration Feb 7th at Ben & Jerry's!

Join us this Thurs, Feb 7th to kick off Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Week at Ben & Jerry's in West Hartford Center!

Dear friends,

Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Week is Feb 7-14, 2013. In an effort to promote awareness of this #1 birth defect in the US, our family is kicking off the week with a town-wide celebration in honor of all children born with a CHD, on Feb.7th at Ben & Jerry's, 5 1/2 South Main Street in West Hartford center. The Mayor's Office will be presenting a Proclamation at 6:00 P.M.

As most of you know, our daughter Gabriella was born with a CHD. After successful open-heart surgery at Connecticut Children's five years ago, she is a healthy, kind and big-hearted 9 year old who loves life, swimming and Irish Step Dancing. We are thrilled to have our friends, the Kerrigan Family, join us to celebrate their son, Oliver, who was also born with a CHD. Oliver is now 8 and loves hockey and soccer!

Ben & Jerry's is generously donating a percentage of their sales all day to Connecticut Children's new Heart Program! All children with a CHD receive a free small ice cream!

Attached is the flyer. Please help spread the word and stop by with your family! We will be there at 6:00 pm, but the event is going on ALL DAY LONG 11:30 am-9:30 pm. You will be helping to spread CHD Awareness, as well as eat delicious ice cream and support the wonderful new Heart Program at Connecticut Children's each day!

Thank you,
~ Adria

PS: SAVE THE DATE! GABRIELLA'S ANNUAL SCOOP NIGHT IS AUG 29, 2013!
