Fundraising Veteran Geoff Hoyt Joins Kingswood Oxford’s Advancement Office

Veteran fundraising executive Geoffrey Hoyt has been named the Director of Planned and Capital Giving at Kingswood Oxford School. He will join KO’s Advancement team, headed by Director of Institutional Advancement Debra Hyde ’68.

A graduate of Suffield Academy and Syracuse University, Hoyt has 20 years of experience in the non-profit sector, including such schools as Choate, the University of Massachusetts, and Canterbury School in New Milford, where he had been the Associate Director of Development since 2007.

“Geoff brings to KO an impressive track record in fundraising, as well as a great knowledge of secondary school education,” said Hyde. “We are thrilled to have him on our team.”

"I am honored to be joining Kingswood Oxford School at such a pivotal point in its history,” said Hoyt, who lives in West Suffield with his wife and two children. “The KO community is clearly passionate and involved, and that support puts the school in a great position for sustainable long-term growth.”

Donations to the KO Fund totaled nearly $1.2 million in 2011-12 – the highest amount in school history.
