West Hartford Firefighters Participate in 'Fight for Air Climb'

On Feb. 4, 2012, members of the participated in “Fight for Air Climb” in Boston, MA. The event is a fund raiser for the American Lung Association and this is the third year members of the West Hartford Fire Department have participated in the event.

The stair climb is a competitive event for firefighters who climb the 41 floors at One Boston place wearing full firefighting gear and air packs. There are many Lung Association stair climb events in the northeast, but this event has the most fire personnel competing in it. There were 380 firefighters from all over New England participating.
