West Hartford's New England Care Hosts Candy X-Ray Day

Trick or Treat, it's safe to eat!

Rachel Callahan eagerly waits for Mike Zerbe PA-C of New England Urgent Care to x-ray her Halloween candy during the clinic's Candy X-Ray Day on November 1st . The free screening was available at all three of their locations in West Hartford, Simsbury and Enfield to ensure the safety of area trick-or-treaters. Fortunately, candy tampering is not a common problem but caution is always advised, especially when it looks as though packaging of treats may have been compromised.

New England Urgent Care is a Certified Urgent Care Center staffed with licensed emergency medical professionals. All 3 locations are open evenings and weekends, 365 days a year. In addition to X-ray machines, the center is fully stocked with splints, crutches and walkers and can administer IV fluids and sutures. To learn more visit: www.urgentcarenewengland.com.
