They include: BlumShapiro, PBI, Charles Schwab, Farmington Bank, Fathom, The Fremont Group, lululemon athletica, Max Restaurant and Munson’s Chocolates.

During the JA Career Walk, two groups of ten Hall High School students will visit the West Hartford Center businesses.  Each business will provide an overview and tour, and discuss the type of occupations they employ and qualities they look for when hiring people.  Each visit will last 40 minutes. The entire program will run from 8:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. on May 14.

Students will start JA Career Walk at BlumShapiro headquarters at South Main Street in West Hartford where they will receive an orientation using the JA Job Shadow curriculum.  The curriculum gives students an overview of the world of work and the skills needed to success on the job.  The orientation will be hosted by Tom DeVitto, Chief Marketing Officer of BlumShapiro, and one of the developers of the inaugural JA Career Walk.
