Patty Swanson To Give Artist Talk at Charity Event

Enjoy an entertaining evening of art, music, wine, and much more – and support the Sunshine Kids at the same time!

West Hartford artist Patty Swanson, who was recently awarded Connecticut Creative Photographer of the Year and Connecticut Art/Electronic Imaging Photographer of the Year, will discuss how she created the remarkable images that are currently displayed in the "Living Remains: A Resurrection Thru the Lens" show in the gallery at the Noah Webster House and West Hartford Historical Society. Patty will reveal the original images from the camera lens and discuss the process of creating what appear to be paintings.

The fundraiser will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 29, from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m., at the Noah Webster House, 227 South Main St., West Hartford, CT.

Sunshine Kids is an organization that provides quality programs to support children with cancer and their families. The event is sponsored by the Avon office of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services, New England Properties and hosted by realtor Christina Bill.

Light appetizers will be served and guests will enjoy a wine tasting, chair massages, chocolates, and more. West Hartford musician and Conard High School senior Travis Busch will entertain guests with a solo performance.

Jewelry designer Olivia Engel of West Hartford (http://www.oliviaengeljewelry.com/); West Hartford's Mary Ann Charron, chocolatier for Cocoa Chi "The energy of Love at First Bite"; Jolly Therapeutic Massage of Avon (http://www.jollytherapeuticmassage.com/), and Arbonne consultant Tammy Kroll of West Hartford  (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Tammy-Kroll-Arbonne-Independent-Consultant/135785679826064) will also feature their products and services.

Patty recently appeared on The Mayor's Report with West Hartford Mayor Scott Slifka to discuss the gallery show as well as her other photography work. Click here to see more: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYP6tNfQrsg
