Quinnipiac University names West Hartford resident visiting assistant professor of nursing

Kimberly Petrovic has been named visiting assistant professor of nursing at Quinnipiac University.

Petrovic, of West Hartford, Conn., earned a doctorate in human development and family studies from the University of Connecticut, a master's degree in nursing from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn., a master's in sociology for New Mexico State University and a bachelor's in biology from Wheaton (Ill.) University.

"In actions and in words, the School of Nursing embodies and practices the values it sets forth,” Petrovic said. “These values include a holistic approach to collaboration between and among faculty, life-long learning for students as well as faculty, and working in such a manner that integrates and respects the health of body, mind and spirit of each and every individual. Faculty members and students sense this when they walk through the doors of the School of Nursing. I know that I did, and that has made all of the difference."
