Sing, Learn, and Listen with the PJ Library of Greater Hartford’s Tot Shabbat Hop; Fall 2013

Sing songs, learn about Shabbat and listen to stories at the PJ Library of Greater Hartford’s Tot Shabbat Hop at various Jewish organizations in Greater Hartford. This new program, which encourages families with young children to visit different Jewish institutions while celebrating Shabbat, is free and open to everyone in the community.

Geared towards families with children from birth to five years old, the Tot Shabbat Hop will take place at local synagogues and Jewish agencies and give children a fun Shabbat experience, with songs, prayers and PJ Library stories. This community-wide program is part of the Big Tent Judaism Initiative, funded by the Jewish Community Foundation, whose goal is to create partnerships among the region’s Jewish institutions and reach out to those not yet engaged in Jewish life in Greater Hartford.
