TANDUAY Asian Rum adds intriguing taste to Tastes-of-the-Valley 2014

TANDUAY Asian Rum will be one of only three spirits offered to attendees at Tastes-of-the-Valley fundraiser at Tower Ridge Country Club in Simsbury Saturday, March 22nd from 7 to 10 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Avon-Canton and is expecting over 300 food, wine, beer and spirits enthusiasts.

Joining a who’s who of area restaurants, TANDUAY Asian Rum will offer guests the opportunity to sample its silky smooth Gold and Silver expressions.

“While TANDUAY has been available in Connecticut since August 2013, we are always eager to introduce this unique Asian rum to consumers at events like Tastes-of-the-Valley and to support local causes,” says Whit Repp, Vice President of Marketing at Brand Action Team, TANDUAY’s marketing/PR agency of record, located in Avon. “We’re excited to be part of this event.”

Tastes of the Valley supports several charities in Connecticut and beyond.

Available in two expressions, TANDUAY’s flavors are artfully crafted from a blend of individual rums, making it the ideal base spirit for today’s cocktail. TANDUAY Silver is aged for up to five years in charred oak barrels prior to blending and filtering, boasting a palate of coconut with hints of custard. TANDUAY Gold is a blend of rums aged up to seven years and presents flavors of vanilla and tropical fruits. With over 100 international medals to its credit in the last 40 years, TANDUAY Asian Rum is a highly decorated spirit. Most recently, it received accolades from U.S. judges, taking home the “Best in Class” Gold medal at the 2013 Rum Renaissance, held in April in Miami, Florida.
