The Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts Students Take Home Awards from the Berklee High School Jazz Festival

Students from The Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts competed in the Berklee High School Jazz Festival hosted by Berklee College of Music in Boston. The Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts competed against over 200 bands featuring nearly 3000 students from 13 states across the country. The school’s own Andre Bernier was awarded for his superior musicianship, and Scott Veilleux and Nathaniel Brooks were awarded for their outstanding musicianship. The Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts ensembles, “The Real Ambassadors” and the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts Ensemble 3 competed this year. The largest event of its kind, the Berklee High School Jazz Festival is in its 46th year.
