West Hartford Residents Earn New England Championship

The Watkinson School Girls Basketball team are the Class D New England Champions after a convincing win over Chase Collegiate on Saturday 59-39.  Tianna Conway of Manchester was named the MVP and West Hartford residents Victoria Santiago, Michaela Boyle and Siobhan Boyle played a great game.  This is the Lady Rams second New England title and have a winning record of 21 wins and only 4 losses. The Girls Basketball team recently played a great game vs. Chase Collegiate winning their 4th straight HVAL title 58-52. The team finished the season undefeated in both the CISAC and HVAL leagues and won both the CISAC and HVAL championships.
Three members of the Lady Rams were selected as New England All Stars; Victoria Santiago of West Hartford, Taylor Saunders of Hartford and Tianna Conway of Manchester.  It is rare to have three athletes selected for New England All Stars which are chosen by the opposing teams coach

Watkinson School is Hartford's oldest independent day school serving students in grades 6-12/PG.  Their next open house is April 22nd at 6pm.
