Barnes & Noble Holiday Book Drive Kick-off

West Hartford, CT – Barnes & Noble stores across the country invite customers to give the gift of reading to children in need during its annual Holiday Book Drive, taking place from November 1, 2011 to January 1, 2012.  The Barnes & Noble Holiday Book Drive provides an opportunity for customers to donate books through locally designated non-profit organizations.

On Saturday, November 5th, 2011 at 11:00 AM, the West Hartford – Blue Back Square Barnes & Noble will hold a special Holiday Book Drive kick-off event.  Residents from Connecticut Children’s Medical Center will be guest readers during a special storytime in the children’s department. CT Children’s is one of four Reach Out and Read sites that will benefit from the book drive.  St. Francis Hospital, Charter Oak Health Center, and New Britain Pediatrics will also receive donated books from the Holiday Book Drive.
