Free Admission for Active/Retired Military Memorial Day Weekend

Out of respect and appreciation for our country’s veterans and active-duty military personnel, The Children’s Museum in West Hartford and Roaring Brook Nature Center in Canton will waive admission for veterans and active military personnel on Saturday, May 28 and Sunday, May 29. Each service member/veteran is invited to bring up to three guests at half price on both days.

“This is just a small show of appreciation and a special opportunity to honor our veterans and active-duty men and women,” said Don Peterson, Interim Director of The Children’s Museum. “We’re proud to invite these heroes and their families to join us over Memorial Day weekend.”

Veterans and active-duty military personnel visiting the Museum and Roaring Brook on May 28 and 29 need only show appropriate military identification to receive free admission. The Museum and Roaring Brook Nature Center are closed on Monday, May 30 in observance of Memorial Day.
