Meet the Author and Scavenger Hunt

Both events are free with museum admission and to museum members. Reservations are not necessary.

Author Event: Sunday, August 12, 1 p.m.
Deborah Anderson-Clubb will will share her first book, "My Best Friend Penelope Jane and Me" in a reading and signing at the museum. Her first foray into writing tells the story of a little girl and her doll, who go on an adventure in New York City with her parents. Books will be available for purchase at the Museum Shop. The event is free with museum admission, or $5 per adult, and $2 per child. Children age 2 and under are free.

Family Event: Sunday, August 12, 1-4 p.m.
Stop into the museum to participate in a scavenger hunt. The hunt is free with regular museum admission. Families will be given a list of items to search for, which are hidden throughout the museum, garden, and historic house. The number one rule for the hunt is, "find it with your eyes, not your hands". Kids will have fun while learning about the Noah Webster House and everyday life in colonial West Hartford. Every child who completes the hunt will get a prize. No registration is required, but families should arrive no later than 3:30 p.m. to complete the hunt.
