Listen up! Sonics Sunday is ready to bring the noise with the science of sound. Activities will include:
- Live performances by Caribbean drum band Steel Accents, and folk singer/storyteller Mary Jo Maichak.
- Stunning demonstrations on the science of sound – a sonic boom, the Doppler football, the screaming stick, the musical laser and more.
- Craft your own music instrument to take home.
- Strange, hands-on experiments with sound, like the singing bowl and the world’s cheapest speakers.
- Test your ability to identify animals by their calls.
