Spring Fever! The First Green Team Event of the Year

 The Greater Hartford Green Team, a volunteer network of suburban and urban residents sponsored by Knox Parks, will meet the third Saturday of each month except for March & April 2012.  We will coordinate beautification projects, plant and spruce- up various sites throughout the City of Hartford.  For more info, or to sign up for future Saturdays, call Charmaine at Knox Parks 860-951-7694.

Our first project will be transplanting seedlings in the Knox Parks greenhouses in preparation for the distribution of planters throughout the city.                                                                   

 Join in to:

• Help transplant 2,000 seedlings in the Knox Parks greenhouse for filling Blooms pots and spring plantings
• Learn more about germination at our seed-starting wokshop
• Enjoy 70 + degrees temperatures in the greenhouse
• Share lunch with other volunteers
• Listen to live music featuring members of the Hartford Symphony Orchestra
• Build bridges and create relationships as you help to Green the City
