Flatbush Avenue Closure Delayed a Day

Inclement weather delays closure in West Hartford

The plan to close a section Flatbush Avenue in West Hartford and Hartford due to construction has been delayed a day due to inclement weather, according to the Hartford Courant.

The Department of Transportation originally scheduled the closure of Flatbush Avenue east of New Park Avenue to Newfield Avenue and west of New Park Avenue to Ahern Street starting at 6 a.m. on Monday.

But, due to the rainy weather, the closure has been delayed until 6 a.m. on Tuesday, according to the Courant.

The closure is expected to last 21 days to construct the new Flatbush Avenue Bridge spanning the Amtrak rail line and the CTfastrak guideway.
