Leisure Services Has Much More on Tap for This Summer

With only weeks before school bells ring, West Hartford youth still have many options available.

As pages of the calendar turn to August, West Hartford sports and leisure programs remain in full gear. No matter what the interest, there are a variety of activities available to keep students occupied right up until the first day of school.

At Buena Vista Golf Course, the junior golf program offers a nine-hole scramble tournament every Tuesday and Thursday morning. All ability levels are welcome. No reservations are needed. Sign up at the Starter's Shack anytime before the tournament's 10 a.m. start.

Veteran's Memorial Skating Rink offers a morning (8:30-11:30 a.m.) summer hockey camp for ages 6-15. Sessions run for one week and are offered thorugh mid-August. Extended afternoon options are also available.
