More Snow Than Expected for West Hartford, More to Come

West Hartford got a bit more snow than expected Monday but could get twice as much later this week.

West Hartford and the area is getting more snow Monday than originally forecast, with the National Weather Service (NWS) now predicting accumulations of 1 to 3 inches.

The snow is expected to continue on-and-off until around 7 p.m. Monday, however there’s more in the forecast mid-week.

Another storm is on the way for Wednesday, with precipitation expected to begin in the early morning hours. The NWS is forecasting snow and sleet Wednesday morning, turning to all snow after 2 p.m.

The storm should let up by Wednesday evening, leaving behind 2 to 4 inches in West Hartford.

The NWS has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Wednesday, in effect from 12 a.m. to 6 p.m.
