'Pawn' Movie Trailer Features West Hartford Scenes

Movie is scheduled to premiere in 2013, but the trailer, which includes scenes inside the former Friendly's on South Main St., has just been released.

West Hartford went through a Hollywood-like temporary transformation last December when a portion of West Hartford Center became the set for filming the movie "Pawn."

Many scenes from the movie, which stars Forest Whitaker, Ray Liotta, Michael Chiklis, and Nikki Reed, were shot at the on South Main Street, which was transformed into the "Be Brite Diner."

West Hartford is prominently featured in the trailer, which also includes cameo appearances by West Hartford Police's SWAT team who were volunteer extras in the film.
