Pelletier Case: Judge Delays Ruling Until Tuesday

The judge in 15-year-old Justina Pelletier’s custody case will not make a decision today as to whether her parents can take her home to West Hartford.

Instead, the judge told lawyers he will keep them apprised of his decision by end of day Tuesday, March 25, The Boston Globe reports.

Earlier this week, the judge stated he would make a decision by Friday, March 21. The teen is in the middle of a year-long custody battle between her parents and the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families (DCF).

Under an agreement presented by the Pelletier’s attorney, Justina would leave a facility in Framingham, Mass. and go home with her parents, provided she receives suitable medical care and schooling, according to Boston.com.
