Afternoon Activities Canceled in West Hartford Due to Snow

Roads are being treated in West Hartford on Wednesday, as snow is accumulating – fast and furious.

Snow way!

After attempting to ignore the National Weather Service forecast about the impending nor'easter, reality has hit now that snow is flying, and accumulating, throughout West Hartford.

Schools in did not have early dismissal today because Wednesday is already a short day, but according to the superintendent's office, all after school activities on Wednesday have been canceled.

"We're transitioning now, and are heading out to treat the roads," Phillips said.

The travel lanes are fine, and Phillips said that conditions will improve once roads are treated.

"The material that we use is very effective in these temperatures, and should keep rush hour safe for travel," Phillips said.

Are you happy? Sad? Eager for ski season to begin? Ready to book a tropical vacation? Thinking the snowfall is Mother Nature's commentary on election results?
