The Hartford Pops Band Featured at Annual Labor Day Concert

Free concert entertains music-lovers of all ages on the Town Hall grounds.

The annual Labor Day weekend concert, featuring The Hartford Pops Band, was enjoyed by hundreds of music-loving fans on Monday afternoon on the grounds of . Band members, from the American Federation of Musicians (Local 400), performed an assortment of light classical, show tunes and marching band music. 

Admission for the concert was free to all. Members of the West Hartford Department of Human Services were on site selling refreshements and accepting non-perishable food items to support the West Hartford Food Pantry.

The concert was presented by the Music Performance Fund and the West Hartford Department of Leisure Services. Sponsors of the event included Farmington Savings Band, Hartford Magazine and West Hartford Life, Mercy Community Health, Molloy Funeral Home, and RE/MAX Premier Realtors of West Hartford.
