VOTE: The Region's Top Dogs Are ...

We asked Patch users in Suffield, Windsor, the Granbys, Avon, Simsbury, Canton, Farmington and West Hartford to share their dog photos, and then vote for their favorite. Meet 8 great dogs!

Between today and June 22, users will cast their vote in the comments section of this article for their favorite of the posted dogs. The winner of this round will receive a $100 gift card from in West Hartford and an awesome gift basket from in West Hartford.

In addition, we have a prize for the dog that receives the second highest number of votes, $50 gift certificate for the pet and three pints of free ice cream for the owner from (locations in Canton and Avon).

On June 23, the 4 regional winners will be unveiled, and they will face off to become Connecticut Patch’s Top Dog from June 23-30. The winner will be announced July 1. The winner of that competition will receive a painted portrait of their pet from noted Connecticut artist (and former Patch local editor) Carrie Jacobson.

To vote: Look for the number in the top right corner of the photo and refer to that in the comments.

WE all are voting for Sandy #6. Cutest pooch this side of the Mississippi (well, other than OUR dog, who declined to run this year--knocks out all the other competitors!) Joe, Clare, and Francis
