West Hartford History: Do You Know Where This Library Was Located?

Test your knowledge of West Hartford history with this photo from the archives of the Noah Webster House & West Hartford Historical Society.

Last week, we featured a photo of Francis G. Reynolds, who had a long career with the West Hartford Police Department. In 1973 Reynolds was promoted to chief of police. He retired in 1987 from the West Hartford Police Department after a 32-year career that included 14 years as chief. In 1989, two years after retiring, he was elected to the Town Council as a Republican.

Lisa Petersen, Rick Liftig and Giovanni Seccareccia all identified the former chief, although Liftig got the bonus question - that Francis served on the Town Council. Well done.

What about this week's photo? Yep, that would be a library. (The books kind of gives it away, no?) But where was this library located? Let us know in the comment section below.
