Last week, we featured a photo of a crossing guard helping out a little girl cross the street.
Lew Block and Kate Dalton Spear both provided the (mostly) correct response that the police department supervise the crossing guards. The guards are employed by the Board of Education. Who knew?
So what about this week? Who is featured in this week's photo?
Bonus question: Can you name two positions - one elected, one as an employee - this person held in the town?
If you think you know the answer or have a special memory related to the photo, respond in the "Leave a comment" box below this article. We'll run the answer next Monday, along with a new historical photo.
