Last week's question was "What Was Happening Here?" and the patriotic photo was perfect for Memorial Day. However, it seems that most of our readers must have been busy at the parade, barbecues, or other Memorial Day celebrations, because there was not a single guess.

The official answer from the Noah Webster House & West Hartford Historical Society is: "These women were war time workers who posed in front of the old New Departure plant in Elmwood. They were dressed in costume for a march to raise money for men in the Army and Navy during the First World War."
