West Hartford History: What Occupied This Building?

Last week's question was "Where Was This Church?" and surprisingly none of the St. James's Episcopal Church members recognized their own original church building.

Thanks to Rick Liftig for piping in with the only (and correct) answer: "Guessing this is St. James Episcopal Church built in 1855 and stood until 1953 on South Main Street where Kaoud Brothers is now. Look at the perfect elm tree to the left of the building."

The official answer from the Noah Webster House & West Hartford Historical Society is: "This is the old Saint James’s Episcopal Church. It was built in the 1850s on the west side of Goodman Green in the town center. This building eventually was torn down in the 1950s.
