Last week we asked: "Where Was This Store?" and there were several guesses before the commenters seemed to come to a consensus.

Connie Curcio Reder thought perhaps it was the original Quaker Hardware at the corner of Quaker Lane and Park Road, and Kevin thought it might be Pfau's Hardware before it was remodeled.

Amy Frey guessed Colonial Hardware on LaSalle Road, and Wendy agreed that the image was taken on LaSalle Road. So did Rosie DeRobertis, who wrote, "LaSalle Road prior to the installation of parking meters."

In his comment, Don Reder apologized to Connie Curcio Reder. (Wonder if they are related!) "Sorry, Connie. This was definitely Colonial Hardware on LaSalle. They later used one side of the space as more of a gift shop."

All those who guessed Colonial Hardware on LaSalle Road are correct. The official answer from the Noah Webster House & West Hartford Historical Society is: "This undated image shows the display window of Colonial Hardware, located for many years on LaSalle Road. Starbucks in now located in this location."
