Dancing with the Symphony

The West Hartford Symphony Orchestra will present its Tenth Anniversary Season fundraiser “Dancing with the Symphony” Saturday evening, September 24th, 2011, from 7:00 – 11:00 P.M. at the West Hartford Town Hall Auditorium.

Enjoy a unique evening of ballroom dancing to live music by one of West Hartford’s premiere community musical organizations. Professional ballroom dancing instruction and demonstrations will be provided courtesy of the Arthur Murray Dance Studios. Highlighting the evening will be guest emcees Rachel Frank, Fox 61 Meteorologist, and David Rosinski of Floral Illusions.

Refreshments include hors d’oeuvres by Fleming’s Steak House, cocktails and soft drinks by Two Pour Guys, and desserts by Confetti Cupcakes. Dress: cocktail attire.

In addition to dancing, attendees will be able to bid on a number of valuable gift items in a silent auction.

“Everyone had such a good time at our first ‘Dancing with the Symphony’ fundraiser in the spring of 2010 we decided to do it again” says Kathleen McGann, fundraiser co-chair. “There’s nothing else like it.” David White, fellow Orchestra board member, agrees. “I’m not much of a dancer,” he said, “but I had a blast!”

Tickets are $75.00 per person/$150 per couple. For tickets call 860-521-4362 or order them online at http://whso.org/order-tickets-2/order-online/. Orders must be received no later than September 20. “Space is limited at the Town Hall Auditorium” reminds Kathleen, “so it’s important to order your tickets early — you wouldn’t want too miss out.”
