German Bierfest sponsored by the Hartford Saengerbund

 

Almost Germany!  It’s time again for the Hartford Saengerbund’s (German Club) Bierfest!  Held rain or shine under the “Big Tent”...seats over 1500.  Tap your toes to music from the Hornberg Musikanten, a 16 piece Bavarian brass band directly from the German Federal State of Baden-Württemberg, Southwest Germany.    Continuous entertainment includes traditional German dance demonstrations by the Schuhplattler Dancers.  Tasty German specialties, such as grilled wursts, wiener schnitzel and leberkaese; potato salad and our famous potato pancakes!  Offering many imported German beers!   Homemade pastries will be served in the “Kaffeestube”.

Vendors will be offering for sale German imports (smokers, nutcrackers, Bavarian pewter figurines, t-shirts, embroidered linens, beer steins, etc.).  Sign up for the gift raffles!!!
