Groundbreaking Ceremony at Bishops Corner Library

The groundbreaking ceremony for “Expanding Excellence at the Bishops Corner Library” will be held on Sunday, November 6, from 4 – 5 pm at the Bishops Corner branch, 15 Starkel Road. The public is invited to come and help us launch the exciting upgrades that are in store for the branch.

Opening remarks will be made at 4:00 p.m. followed by a description of the renovation project by library director Pat Holloway. Additional remarks and information on the project will be provided by Booker DeVaughn, Library Board Chair, and Erika Wilson, Library Foundation President. Special guest “diggers” at the ceremony will include West Hartford students James Doar and Ben Sanderson.

The Bishops Corner Branch library was opened in 1966 and renovations are long overdue. The project will advance energy conservation, ensure access to 21st century technology, and improve interior spaces. For more information call 860-561-6978, e-mail: foundation@westhartfordlibrary.org or visit the library website at www.westhartford.org.
