Human Landscapes

Full Force Dance Theatre presents Human Landscapes February 10, 11 & 12, 2011 at the Robert C. and Ann T. Roberts Foundation Black Box Theater, University of Hartford, Handel Performing Arts Center, 35 Westbourne Parkway, Hartford, CT.  Performances are at 7:30pm with a 2 pm matinee on Saturday the 12th. Post performance discussion on Thursday and Friday evening.

Admission is $25.00 with discounts for Seniors/Students/Let’s Go! Members.

Human Landscapes is a performance in two parts, the first half of the evening exploring architecture and natural landscapes, the second half focusing on the human psyche from an all female perspective. The evening will feature the world premier of ‘He Said/She Said’ by Artistic Director Katie Stevinson-Nollet inspired by the poetry of e. e. cummings, Emily Dickinson and Ralph Waldo Emerson. Special guest choreographer’s Adele Myers, Artistic Director of Adele Myers and Dancers and faculty member at Connecticut College, and Leslie Frye Maietta, FFDT company member and Hartt Community Division Faculty member, will each create new works for the company.  Stevinson-Nollet will restage several repertory works including Laws of Nature, a duet Commissioned by the Connecticut Ballet in 2009 to the music of So Percussion, Riverbed with music composed by Hartt Alumni Matt Sargant, performed on Sargant’s unique musical invetion by Hartt Alumni Bill Solomon, and Pressed Against a Wall with original score by Hartt Alumni, Alphonse Izzo.
