“Kaddish for a Friend” Screening on March 22, 2012 at 16th Annual Mandell JCC Hartford Jewish Film Festival

Kaddish for Friend - 16th Annual Mandell JCC Hartford Jewish Film Festival

Thursday, March 22, 2012, 8:15pm at the Criterion/Bow Tie Cinema, Blue Back Square, West Hartford, CT.

Born into a Palestinian refugee family, 14 year old Ali is mixing with the wrong Berlin crowd.  A teen prank turns violent and brings him face to face with feisty 84 year old Russian Jewish war veteran Alex, with whom he forges an uncommon human bond. This touching story about unlikely friendships, trust, loss and the art of forgiveness blurs the lines between enemies and friends with humor and pathos.
