Kate Callahan Concert & CD Release Party

Join luminous singer/songwriter Kate Callahan, and fellow musicians Jim Chapdelaine and Andre Balazs on guitar, bass, piano and percussion, for an inspiring evening of beautiful music.  Kate's soulful lyrics and lovely voice are sure to lift your spirits.  She sings, writes and performs her contemporary folk music throughout New England.  WNPR host Colin McEnroe calls Kate an "artist" whose songs go "into the spaces where original, startling music is made."  Noel Paul Stookey (Peter, Paul and Mary) says, "she's real" and her music is "zen-like." Come celebrate the release of her third CD, "Two Doors."  To learn about Kate, please visit her website: www.kate-callahan.com.

The evening is a benefit for Center for Serenity, a nonprofit which has provided counseling and education with a spiritual base to the community for 16 years.  The "Serenity Award" will be presented to Lynn Goldfarb, Founder and Director of Serenity Scarves, an organization of volunteer "knitters for peace" dedicated to raising awareness and funds for local, peace-oriented nonprofits.  Visit www.serenityscarves.org for more information.  Before the concert at 6:45 p.m., view a sampling of Serenity Scarves knitted gifts.  These will be available in gratitude for your tax-deductible donations at the post-concert reception, where Kate's CD's will be on sale.
