Kids' Purim Festival and Feast
Join us on Sunday, March 4, 2012 from 10:00 – 12:00 PM at this free pre-Purim family event taking place at the Emanuel Synagogue, 160 Mohegan Drive. Families are encouraged to come in costume. The morning will begin with stations featuring arts & crafts, games, hamantaschen making, and face painting. At 11:00 AM, all are invited to attend a Purim performance of the original Purim musical, In the City of Shushan, our festive version of the Megilah. The show is brief and includes lots of audience participation. The show is appropriate for people of all ages, including the youngest of children.
Following the show there will be an ample and nutritious feast. The cast of the show will be available for autographs and photos with the audience members, so remember to bring your cameras. At the end of the event, kids will be able to make their own edible “Castle of Shushan” to take home with them. RSVPs are appreciated and can be made by calling (860)233-2774 or emailing school@emanuelsynagogue.org. To find out more about the event and to download a flyer, visit www.emanuelsynagogue.org.
