Local author, historian and Hadassah member Betty Hoffman is hosting a book signing at Lyn Evans Potpourri Designs, 973 Farmington Avenue, in West Hartford Center to benefit HADASSAH. Betty N. Hoffman, Ph.D. (Anthropology) has conducted oral histories in and written extensively about the Greater Hartford Jewish community for more than twenty years. All five of her books will be featured, including her two most recent releases, A History of Jewish Connecticut: Mensches, Migrants and Mitzvahs and her new children’s book about the holocaust: Liberation: Stories of Survival from the Holocaust. Betty will be speaking about her books at 6:00 p.m. Scrumptious hors d’oeuvres will be generously provided by Barcelona Restaurant, along with complimentary drink coupons for all in attendance!
All of Betty’s books will be available for purchase. Dr. Hoffman and Lyn Evans will be donating a percentage of their proceeds from the evening’s event to HADASSAH, which is celebrating its centennial anniversary this year.
