Lyn Evans for Potpourri Designs Transforms Fashion’s Night Out Into A Charitable Event

Worldwide, on Thursday September 6th, editors, stars, models, fashionistas, and designers will flood stores in cities across the country and around the world for a fashion extravaganza.  Last year’s Fashion’s Night Out featured events in eighteen countries and more than 4,500 events here in the States. And it’s a happening event in West Hartford too!

Lyn Evans for Potpourri Designs, a premier women’s clothing boutique on Farmington Avenue will be strutting their stuff along with the rest, but with a twist.  Since this clothing store’s corporate mission is to be involved in the communities they serve, a portion of their proceeds from Fashion’s Night Out will benefit the St. Agnes Home.  The St. Agnes Home is a residential group home for teen mothers and their infants located in West Hartford, Connecticut. It has been serving the community since 1914 and is the oldest maternity home in Connecticut. Services offered include life-skills training, pre- and postnatal care, counseling and day care. It also offers extended care and support for those transitioning into fully independent living situations. 

Lyn Evans’ evening festivities include a fashion show at 6:30 p.m. featuring professional models from Pasarela Modeling.  The ladies’ hair and makeup will be provided courtesy of The Hair Color Company and Spa.  Celebrity bartender Marsha Howard Karp, actress and famous host of WHC-TV’s “Cameras Rolling”, will be serving a cocktail designed especially for the evening and TREVA Restaurant & Bar is dishing up fabulous food.  This fundraising event is truly a partnership among local West Hartford businesses!
