Photography Exhibit "Meant to Be"

Photography exhibit by high school senior Molly McGuire

An opening reception for a photography exhibit by high school senior Molly McGuire will be held in the Ellen Jeanne Goldfarb Community Learning Center, Congregation Beth Israel, on Friday, May 6, 6:30 p.m. The reception is free and open to the public. Molly is a senior at Classical Magnet School in Hartford and a Beth Israel congregant. Her photographs have been included in the Hartford Renaissance Art Show at the Wadsworth Atheneum and have been displayed at both Hartford Hospital and The Hartford Insurance Company in Simsbury. She won a Gold Key award at the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards and last summer she was selected as one of ten photography apprentices as part of the Greater Hartford Arts Council Neighborhood Studios program. Her showcase, titled "Meant to Be", will run until Friday, June 3. Congregation Beth Israel is located at 701 Farmington Ave., West Hartford.
