Santa Visits The Children's Museum to Benefit the WH Food Pantry

Santa Claus (and Mrs. Claus!) will be making a visit to The Children's Museum, located at 950 Trout Brook Drive, West Hartford, on Sunday, December 12th from 11am-2pm. Each child who arrives during that time period can have a picture taken with Santa in the museum's specially decorated holiday fun room. The photo is free with museum admission, but families are asked to bring a nonperishable food item or donate $1 to the West Hartford Food Pantry for each child's photo. Food and monetary donations will be accepted during the event.

"We wanted to do something fun for the holiday season, and at the same time we recognize that many families need help this time of year," said Kevin B. Sullivan, President and CEO of The Children's Museum. "The West Hartford Food Pantry is the ideal partner for this endeavor, as we can teach our children the importance of giving to those in need."

Linda Hanson, Director of Volunteer Services for the Town of West Hartford, agrees. "What is usually a holiday season time of need has become year round for many families. We are delighted that our neighbors at The Children's Museum have taken this opportunity to help."
