The Carol Autorino Center Presents: Magic Time: The “Business” of Jack Lemmon A Film Series Tribute

Director Stuart Rosenberg’s romantic comedy, The April Fools, follows Howard Brubaker (Jack Lemmon) and Catherine (Catherine Deneuve) in their quests for love. Brubaker and Catherine are trapped in loveless marriages. Brubaker’s boss convinces him to woo other women, but unbeknownst to him, Brubaker charms his boss’ wife, Catherine. The couple decides to escape to Paris. As they are about to board the plane, Brubaker discovers Catherine is the boss’ wife.

Actor Chris Lemmon, Jack Lemmon’s son, and Professor Ellen Brodie, of Eastern Connecticut State University, will provide commentary preceding the film.
