The Carol Autorino Center Presents the 7th Annual St. Patrick's Day Celebration

For the seventh year, Connecticut’s finest Irish musicians and singers will entertain audiences with the traditional melodies and stories of the hearth and the pub in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. Danny Ringrose and a host of other performers will bring the vitality of the popular weekly sessions at McKinnon’s Irish Pub to campus. This year’s St. Patrick’s Day Celebration will take place on Sunday, March 11, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. in the Bruyette Athenaeum’s Hoffman Auditorium on Saint Joseph College’s West Hartford campus.

 

Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 after March 6, 2012. Reserved seating. To purchase tickets, contact the Frances Driscoll Box Office at 860.231.5555 or order online at http://tickets.sjc.edu. Box office hours are Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and one hour before performances.

Connecticut’s Irish musicians and singers have establishing a long-standing tradition in greater Hartford with weekly “sessions,” which are gatherings filled with traditional songs and music in local pubs. The late P.V. O’Donnell was a host of those sessions and established Saint Joseph College’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Celebration concert. With his traditional fiddle music, O’Donnell established a legacy of transporting his audiences to his Irish homeland to share in its songs and stories. The annual “session” at Saint Joseph College has become a tradition for hundreds of local Irish and Celtic music fans. Your St. Patrick’s Day activities will not be complete without enjoying this unforgettable show.
