Hartt's Nutcracker is a unique opportunity to see talented young dancers perform in this classic holiday story while dancing to Tchaikovsky's beautiful score. This production, staged by our new Artistic Director, Samantha Dunster, uses young dancers from all levels. These dancers will share the stage with guest artist Stephen Pier, a former dancer of the Royal Danish Ballet, performing the role of Uncle Drosselmeyer. We are also happy to announce the participation of several former Hartford Ballet Dancers as well as cameo appearances by prominent members of our community. This is a wonderful opportunity to see young artists perform a full-length ballet laced with humor, bravery, and sensitivity. It is guaranteed to ignite the child within all of us and invoke the warmth of the holiday season.
