West Hartford Symphony Orchestra Pops Concert

The West Hartford Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of conductor Richard Chiarappa, will present its annual "Pops Concert," the finale of its ninth season.  The soloist is Christopher Stone, performing a medley from Phantom of the Opera by Andrew Lloyd Webber, including "Music of the Night," along with "Bring Him Home," "Stars" and "Empty Chairs at Empty Tables," from the broadway blockbuster Les Miserables. Making its world-premiere is "Uncle Sal's Cello," an original composition for orchestra and narrator by Richard Chiarappa, featuring West Hartford resident Michael Dunne as the narrator. Rounding out the concert will be standard marches and well-known light classics by Rossini, Sousa, Straus, and Piazzolla, and music from the American Songbook.  Tickets will be sold at the door.
