Great Escape: A World Of Art

West Hartford Art League offers close-to-home art exhibit.

You may not have enough time to travel to an art museum, but the provides a close-to-home opportunity to leisurely view the works of some exceptional artists.

The first annual “Elected Artists Exhibit” is on display through March 5 at the West Hartford Art League’s Clubhouse and Saltbox Galleries. “Elected Artists” earn that distinction by being juried in at least three of the past CT+5 exhibits, regional competitions open to artists from Connecticut as well as the other New England states.

The Elected Artists Exhibit showcases the works of 27 different artists in mediums that include photographs, oils, watercolors, pastels and mixed media. Each artist was permitted to enter three pieces of art, and the exhibit contains a total of 72 works.
