Javier Colon: 'The Voice' Comes Back to Connecticut [Video]
The singer is welcomed in his hometown of Stratford after winning NBC's competition.
Hundreds of Stratford residents and fans welcomed Javier Colon to a homecoming at Bunnell High School on Sunday afternoon. The winner of NBC's first season of "The Voice," Colon won a recording contract and $100,000. Colon was selected and coached by Adam Levine of Maroon 5.
Mayor John A. Harkins presented Colon with a Key to the City, and Gov. Dannel Malloy proclaimed June 10 "Javier Colon Day" in Connecticut.
